14 – 15 / 05 / 2011 // 4AM MEDIA LAB // 10 – 18 h
During the recent years it’s getting more simple to create interaction
between computers and the physical world. On the input side,
with the spread of the tactile or optical interfaces, on the output side,
using microcontrollers it’s easy to step out the „box“.

…In this weekend we get introduction in both of the territories,
focusing on the latter: we plan and build blinking, moving, rotating
objects with the wish or artistic use.

The objective of the workshop is to jointly create a mechanical installation
on a public space of Brno.

The workshop is open to everybody interested in, but the participants are
encouraged to bring their own:
– computer, microcontroller (Arduino or similar)
– sensors (potentiometers, photoresistors, pressure, temperature, movement sensors etc)
– moving objects (dc, servo or stepper motors etc)

The workshop is conducted by Balázs Kovács, resident artist at 4AM.
